Dolphin Tours

Overview

Remember that, here in Zanzibar there is no special aquarium for swimming with dolphins. We only swim with wild dolphins, so we need to search for them using our boats. No one can promise 100% you will find them, but based on our experience we can promise on our tour that 90% we can find them.

Only two places we say are the best and easy to spot dolphins; Mnemba Island and Kizimkazi beach as we mentioned above. And from these two places, we recommend Mnemba Island because you can combine it with Snorkeling, this place is considered the best snorkeling part of Zanzibar.

Swim with Wild Dolphins in Their Natural Habitat

Best Place to Swim with Dolphins in Zanzibar

Mnemba Island Kizimkazi Beach Snorkeling Bottlenose Dolphins Humpback Dolphins

Increase your chances of spotting some of Tanzania's rarest marine life during a snorkeling tour that takes you to some of the best wildlife-watching spots around Mnemba Island. You'll get a different perspective of the coastline from the water and stay refreshed with snacks and drinks throughout the day. Escape the crowds on land during a boat trip. Choose between snorkeling, swimming, or relaxing on the boat. An ideal choice for wildlife and nature lovers. Stress-free hotel pickup and drop-off mean you don't have to find a meeting point.

Bottlenose Dolphin

This is a morning excursion. The main attraction of the Dolphin Tour in Zanzibar is being able to swim close to the dolphins — actually, it's swimming with the dolphins. Being very social themselves, you can even get to play with them.

Is Swimming with Dolphins Safe?

Dolphins are known for being friendly, but they are wild animals that should be treated with caution and respect. Interactions with people change dolphin behavior for the worse. They lose their natural wariness, which makes them easy targets for vandalism and shark attack. These dolphins you are visiting are not in captivity or tamed, so it is important to take precautions.

The Trip Includes

Kizimkazi fishing village is home to several schools of bottlenosed dolphins and humpback dolphins, which are sighted following a short boat trip from the village. The dolphins are very friendly and playful. The best part is getting into the water and playing with them.
